The municipality of Tuusula remains one of Finland's most vibrant, but the weak overall economic situation and the resulting decline in tax revenue and slowdown in land sales are challenging the municipality to curb expenditure growth and implement structural reforms.

At its meeting on 18 August 2025, the Tuusula Municipal Council unanimously elected Albert Andersson to the position of Municipal Development Director.

At its meeting on 11 August 2025, the Tuusula Municipal Council unanimously selected Maija Kaltakari for the position of Human Resources Director.

The municipal board decides on the appointment of the human resources director and submits a proposal to the council regarding the appointment of the municipal development director.

The Tuusula Municipal Audit Committee 2021–2025 has prepared an assessment report on the municipality's operations and finances for 2024. The report was submitted to the new council for information as part of the financial statements at the council meeting on 16 June 2025.
