Microbiological quality of bathing waters in Central Uusimaa good

Environment

On 5 June 2025, the Central Uusimaa Environmental Centre collected samples for monitoring bathing water quality from the largest public beaches in Järvenpää, Mäntsälä, Tuusula and Nurmijärvi, i.e. the so-called EU beaches. The samples were tested for Escherichia coli bacteria and intestinal enterococci. The microbiological quality of the bathing water met the quality requirements set for bathing water. No blue-green algae was observed on the beaches. Bacterial concentrations were very low.
