Our forests – Information, plans and dialogue about the forests of Tuusula municipality – residents' meeting on 5 November 2025
A public meeting on the management of Tuusula's forests will be held at Rykmentin Talo on 5 November 2025 from 5.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. The meeting will provide information on the preparation of a new park forest plan and discuss the management of Tuusula's forests.
Tuusula's draft development plan for green and outdoor sports services, VIPU, South Tuusula and Kellokoski on display
The draft development plan for Tuusula's green and outdoor sports services will be on display from 23 October to 21 November 2025 at the TuusInfo customer service office during its opening hours. The draft can also be viewed at the Kellokoski library and on the municipality's map service.
The municipality of Tuusula is putting kiosk locations in public areas out to tender for the summers of 2026 and 2027.
The municipality of Tuusula is inviting tenders for kiosk locations intended for ice cream sales or other café kiosk operations for the summer seasons of 2026 and 2027. Bids may be submitted until 12 noon on 18 November 2025.

The proposed renovation plan for the Jokela Koululampi park area will be on display from 2 October to 15 October 2025 at the TuusInfo customer service centre during its opening hours. The proposal can also be viewed at the Jokela library and the municipal map service.
Water points at mat washing areas and allotments to close in week 38
The water supply to carpet washing areas and allotments located in various parts of Tuusula will be shut off for the winter during week 38.
Restoration work begins in the Heinisuo nature reserve
Restoration work in accordance with the restoration plan will be carried out in early September in the Heinisuo nature reserve (property number 858-413-13-33), which is owned by the municipality of Tuusula. The aim is to restore the water balance of the mire and rehabilitate its natural environment. The project has been awarded a grant from the Ministry of the Environment's HELMI habitat programme.
Fjällbon Park has won the Green Flag Award for 2025–2026!
Finland has been recognised for its well-maintained and managed Green Flag Award green areas. At the Lepaa exhibition on 14 August 2025, 24 green areas that had won the Green Flag Award were announced – some of them were already familiar winners and three were completely new locations. Fjällbo Park in Tuusula is one of the new winners.

The municipality of Tuusula and the city of Järvenpää are jointly envisioning the development of the Tuusulanjärvi, Rusutjärvi and Tuusulanjokilaakso areas. The goal is to draw up a joint vision for the development of Tuusulanjärvi and the river valley during 2025, as well as a concrete action plan for its implementation.
