Finland has been recognised for its well-maintained and managed Green Flag Award green areas. At the Lepaa exhibition on 14 August 2025, 24 green areas that had won the Green Flag Award were announced – some of them were already familiar winners and three were completely new locations. Fjällbo Park in Tuusula is one of the new winners.

The municipality of Tuusula and the city of Järvenpää are jointly envisioning the development of the Tuusulanjärvi, Rusutjärvi and Tuusulanjokilaakso areas. The goal is to draw up a joint vision for the development of Tuusulanjärvi and the river valley during 2025, as well as a concrete action plan for its implementation.

Repairs to the mangle at the Koskenmäki carpet washing facility have been completed. The mangle is now back in use.

A malfunction has been detected in the mangle at the Koskenmäki carpet washing facility in Hyrylä. Repair work will commence immediately.

The renovation included replacing the park's play and exercise equipment, vegetation and lighting.

The municipality of Tuusula promotes the diversity of its local nature through land use planning and environmental management. One part of land use planning is the ongoing preparation of a general plan for the green network (VISSI). The Municipal Development Committee will discuss the draft plan at its meeting on 14 May 2025 and decide on its publication. 

Resident workshops related to the development plan for green and outdoor sports services in South Tuusula and Kellokoski will be held on 1 April 2025 and 3 April 2025. Welcome to join us!

Renovation work on Augusta Park will begin on Monday, 10 March 2025. The park will be completed by the end of June 2025 and will be closed during construction.
