Applications for Tuusula Municipality's 2026 operating grants will open on Thursday, 1 January 2026. Agreement signed for Sote centre project – planning work to begin in January
The Central Uusimaa Welfare Area (Keusote), the municipality of Tuusula and YIT Rakennus Oy have signed an agreement on the design of a social and health centre and parking facility to be built in Hyrylä.

Main line development project progresses in Tuusula area
The development of the railway section between Helsinki and Riihimäki will also be strongly visible in the Tuusula area next year. Among other things, additional tracks and bridge work will be carried out between Purola and Jokela. The Jokela station area will be renovated.

The Central Uusimaa Welfare Area (Keusote) has announced that the opening hours and services of its social and health care units and small health centres will change on 7 January 2026. In Tuusula, the changes will affect the Jokela social and health care unit and the Kellokoski health centre.
Riihikallio School completed ahead of schedule and at lower than estimated cost
The municipality of Tuusula has officially accepted the new school building in Riihikallio from the main contractor. The building and its ancillary facilities were accepted last week. The school was completed more than six months ahead of the deadline specified in the contract, and costs were kept under control.

The autumn results of the Move! measurements carried out as part of physical education in schools are now in. Nationally, the results of pupils in Tuusula are very similar to those elsewhere in Finland. Particular attention should be paid to the decline in physical functioning by focusing on preventive measures that begin in early childhood.
