Data centre planned for Jokela

The municipality of Tuusula has signed a preliminary agreement to sell approximately 16.7 hectares of land in Jokela to funds managed by the global asset management company Blackstone. A data centre is planned for the area.

The President of the Republic awarded Kimmo Kiuru the title of Sports Counsellor. 

Teaching

The President of the Republic has awarded the title of Sports Counsellor to Kimmo Kiuru, 61, from Helsinki, in recognition of his long-term, nationally significant and exceptionally wide-ranging work to promote physical activity in Finland. Kiuru is widely known in schools in Tuusula for his work to promote physical activity among pupils and to strengthen the skills of teachers.

Independence Day on 6 December will include tributes at memorials and a concert at the Monio cultural centre. Tuusula's third-graders will celebrate Independence Day on Tuesday, 2 December 2025, at Monio.

Municipalities are working together to build a resilient Central Uusimaa region 

News

The municipalities of Hyvinkää, Järvenpää, Mäntsälä, Nurmijärvi, Pornainen and Tuusula in Central Uusimaa have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening the region's preparedness and operational capacity in the event of disruptions and exceptional circumstances. The agreement is a concrete step towards the strategic goal of creating a 'resilient Central Uusimaa'.
