The number of building permits granted rose in Tuusula

Last year, Tuusula municipal building control granted building permits and received notifications of measures for approximately 11 per cent more projects than in the previous year. Permits were granted for a total of 175 dwellings, which is more than three times the number granted in the previous year. The number of completed dwellings was significantly lower than in the previous year. However, the municipality estimates that a new upturn in residential construction is already on the horizon.

Museum

On 19 February, an exhibition entitled Beyond Reality – Imaginary Worlds in Fairy Tale Illustrations will open in Erkkola. The exhibition features fairy tale-themed illustrations from the collections of the Amer Cultural Foundation and the Tuusula Art Museum. The works of illustrators from the early 20th century take the viewer far beyond the boundaries of everyday life. They reflect the values and aesthetics of their time, but also people's longing for imaginary worlds.
