The planning of the Itärata railway line between the capital region and Kouvola is progressing to the stage of terrain surveys for the route alignment. The first surveys and measurements will begin in April. A small section of the route alignment is located in the southernmost parts of Tuusula.

The renovation of Building 10, located next to the Monio High School and Cultural Centre in the heart of Hyrylä, has got underway, and the contractor is beginning their work.

The municipality of Tuusula will begin renovation work on the Koululampi park area in Jokela this week. Among other things, the vegetation in the area will be renewed and a new sunbathing and recreation area will be created.

The local executive convened on Monday the 9th of March.

The Focus area in Tuusula, i.e. Focus Business Park, will participate in the international MIPIM 2026 real estate event in Cannes on 10–11 March. The event will showcase the strengths of the Focus area: its exceptional logistical location, sustainable development planning and smooth cooperation with the municipality and business partners.

Many of the municipality's properties have solar panels that generate electricity for heating and lighting, among other things.

Keski-Uusimaa Pride invites you to celebrate diversity and equality from 24 to 29 August. The main celebration will be held at the Monio Cultural Centre.

The Jokela station building, which has been closed to the public for some time, is reopening its doors – though not as a traditional railway station. The municipality has leased the building for use as a café-restaurant, and the new entrepreneurs will keep it open most days from early morning until evening.

Tuusula Building Control has published a summary of construction plans for 2025.

In the Central Uusimaa employment area, companies can utilise youth employment vouchers, which support the employment of unemployed young people aged 18–29. The vouchers reduce the costs of employment for a fixed period.
