Exceptional arrangements for train traffic in Jokela
The Finnish Transport Agency has announced that some local train services operating at night and in the early morning will be replaced by buses between Järvenpää and Jokela in the coming months. In addition, some trains will use a different platform than usual in Jokela. During the exceptional arrangements, installation work related to the main line renovation project will be carried out.
Participate in the fire safety self-assessment
The Central Uusimaa Rescue Department says it's doing fire safety self-assessments for small houses and housing companies in its area. More than 11,500 households and 1,600 housing companies have received a letter from the rescue services instructing them to assess the fire safety of their own properties.

Excavation work for the main line development begins in Hornankallio
The Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency has announced that excavation work related to the Helsinki–Riihimäki railway line development project will begin in Hornankallio, Tuusula, on Monday, 9 February. The excavation work will cause temporary noise and traffic disruption in the area.

Tuusula once again honours successful athletes and teams
In 2025, the Tuusula Culture and Leisure Committee honoured Tuusula athletes and teams who had achieved sporting success. The awards ceremony was held on 5 February 2026 in Halosenniemi.
Meals for senior citizens during the school winter break week, 16–20 February 2026
Schoolchildren in Tuusula will be on holiday during week 8, i.e. 16–20 February 2026. Meals for senior citizens will also be suspended during this period.
Skididialogit invited children and young people to reflect on leisure time in Jokela
A meeting was held in Jokela to discuss leisure activities in the Jokela area as part of Tuusula's Child-Friendly Municipality initiative. The aim of the discussions, which were conducted using the Skididialogi model, was to gather the views and experiences of pupils and adults working with young people on the subject.
