Common principles for land use along the banks of the Kerava River
Launched last summer, the Keravanjoki kuntoon! (Fix the Kerava River!) project by the Vantaanjoki and Helsinki Region Water Protection Association highlights key issues related to the aquatic environment, such as the need to draw up common land use principles for the banks of the Kerava River.
Renovation of swimming pool proceeding on schedule – topping-out ceremony held on 25 February 2026
The renovation of the Tuusula swimming pool will be completed according to the updated schedule. The swimming pool will reopen in June 2026. A topping-out ceremony was held at the construction site on 25 February 2026.

Exceptional arrangements for train traffic in Jokela
The Finnish Transport Agency has announced that some local train services operating at night and in the early morning will be replaced by buses between Järvenpää and Jokela in the coming months. In addition, some trains will use a different platform than usual in Jokela. During the exceptional arrangements, installation work related to the main line renovation project will be carried out.
Participate in the fire safety self-assessment
The Central Uusimaa Rescue Department says it's doing fire safety self-assessments for small houses and housing companies in its area. More than 11,500 households and 1,600 housing companies have received a letter from the rescue services instructing them to assess the fire safety of their own properties.
