Kellokoski pulsates with community spirit – Ruukki Triathlon returns stronger than ever
The popular triathlon event will be held in Kellokoski on Sunday, 1 June, when Järvenpään Pyöräilijät (Järvenpää Cyclists) brings the Ruukki Triathlon to the beautiful countryside for the second time. Last year, the competition was the only sold-out triathlon event in Finland, and it received a lot of praise from participants and the Triathlon Federation. This year, more than 200 competitors from all over the country will take part, and the event also carries an environmentally responsible competition certificate.
This year, Osbu is for children.
Tuusula's seventh participatory budgeting round will begin at the end of September. This time, decision-making power over the use of municipal funds will be given to children and young people under the age of 18.
Park dining will be organised again this summer in Tuusula
In summer 2025, Tuusula will be offering free meals in parks to children and young people under the age of 18 in all municipal centres. Meals will start on Monday, 2 June. There will also be a fun programme of activities.
Meals for the elderly on summer break
The last meal for senior citizens this spring will be held on Friday, 23 May 2025. Meals will resume after the summer break on 11 August 2025.

Red brick buildings tell the story of Hyrylä's history
In the centre of Hyrylä, surrounded by Esikunnanpuisto Park and Monio, there are red-brick buildings reminiscent of Hyrylä's military garrison days. The art barracks are getting a new lease of life after renovation, and the future of other historic brick buildings is being considered.
