Summer in Halosenniemi is spent under the Paris sky

Museum

Halosenniemi's summer exhibition "Under the Parisian Sky – Artists' French Themes" opens on Wednesday, 30 April. The exhibition presents paintings by Finnish artists from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, created during their years of study in France. Paris attracted artists from all over Europe. After studying art in Finland, Pekka Halonen studied in Paris in the early 1890s. In the spring of 1894, he was taught by the famous French painter Paul Gauguin.

Alva consultation at Kalliomaa School ends

Teaching

Since 2018, the Tuusula municipal hospital school, Kalliomaa School, has been offering multidisciplinary hospital school consultation services to schools and pupils in the Tuusula, Nurmijärvi, Järvenpää and Pornainen areas. Consultation assistance has been provided by a team consisting of three special education teachers, an occupational therapist, a psychiatric nurse and a school social worker. Due to savings in the welfare sector, Keusote will no longer offer the services of an occupational therapist, nurse or social worker for consultation. The multidisciplinary Alva consultation will therefore end on 31 May 2025.
