Tuusula Museum and Culture attracted nearly 75,000 visitors in 2025.
The past year was a busy one for Tuusula's cultural services. Tuusula Museum's sites attracted nearly 62,000 visitors, and cultural events drew more than 12,000 participants.

Kolmenkierto, the waste management authority in our area, monitors the emptying of septic tanks and closed tanks on properties. Kolmenkierto is now collecting more detailed information about the tanks from owners using an online form.

The Wellbeing Promoters of the Year 2025 have been selected
The organisers of the Goodwill Christmas event, Noora Maaninka-Matikainen, the Tuusula branch of the Finnish Red Cross, and the sheep grazing in Tuusula were selected as the 2025 Tuusula Wellbeing Promoters of the Year. The selection was announced on Tuesday, 13 January 2026, at an event held at Rykmentin Talo.
Tuusulanjärvi museum sites to attract nearly 170,000 visitors in 2025
In 2025, the museums in the Tuusulanjärvi area, i.e. Tuusula, Järvenpää and Kerava, had 169,323 visitors. This figure reflects the appeal of cultural heritage and the importance of the area for tourism – museums are a strong asset in cultural and local tourism.

More than 1,500 ideas submitted to Tuusula's participatory budgeting competition for children and young people have now been evaluated. The next step is to develop the ideas that have been deemed promising, together with the children and young people themselves and the adults and organisations that work with them.
Erkkola's new exhibition On the edge of the blade
The exhibition Lehden terällä (On the Edge of the Blade) opens on Wednesday, 14 January, at Erkkola on Rantatie in Tuusula. The exhibition examines the observation of nature and the preservation of the disappearing at the intersection of art and science through the works of Kreetta Järvenpää, Terhi Heino, Ebba Masalin and Hilda Olson.
