The municipality of Tuusula is looking for a welfare manager
At its meeting on 10 November 2025, the Tuusula Municipal Council decided to establish a new position of Welfare Director, effective 1 January 2026. The position is now open for applications. The application period ends on 5 January 2026.
The municipality of Tuusula thanks volunteers at a joint thank-you party on 9 December.
Volunteer Day is celebrated internationally on 5 December, and its aim is to highlight the importance of volunteer work for society. The municipality of Tuusula wants to celebrate the day and thank all volunteers and active members of organisations by inviting them to a joint thank-you party on Tuesday, 9 December, at Tuusulanjärvi School at 6 p.m.
The municipality of Tuusula supports families with children in paying for leisure activities through associations.
Hobby subsidies can be applied for by associations, through which the support is then directed to families in need of special assistance.
Tuusula's most child-friendly initiative in 2025 is the joint Special Ice programme run by KJT and Blue Rings.
At the turn of October and November, Tuusula searched for the most child-friendly act in Tuusula. The search was for an individual who had taken particular account of the rights of children and young people to be heard. A jury composed of children and young people selected KJT and Blue Rings: Special Ice as the winner of the award.

Tuusula's cultural spring offers experiences with music, stories and magic. Tickets for the beloved Minä elän! clubs and Kulttuuritalo Monio's spring events are now on sale.
The Keravanjoki River of Dreams – vision work accelerates water protection
The Keravanjoki kuntoon! (Fix the Kerava River!) project, organised by the Vantaanjoki and Helsinki Region Water Protection Association, began in the summer of 2025. It brings together stakeholders along the river to find a common vision and goals for developing the river, i.e. to create a vision for fixing the Kerava River.

Children and young people have their say at the mayor's question time on 19 November – follow the broadcast live!
Pupils from Rykmentinpuisto School will ask questions from children and young people in Tuusula about municipal governance and other topics of concern during the mayor's question time on Wednesday 19 November from 9.15 to 10.15 a.m. The event is part of Tuusula Children's Rights Week. Those interested can follow the question time via livestream.

Jatke Toimitilat Oy has published a weekly bulletin for the Särmä business and service centre construction site for the two-week period beginning on 17 November. Work that has already begun will continue. Access routes to the library may need to be changed as work progresses.
