Preventive substance abuse awareness week will be held from 3 to 9 November 2025. This year's theme is 'Talking about addiction – Bring it up in time'.
“Snow Painter” Pekka Halonen’s exhibition opens in Paris
Pekka Halonen, Hymni Suomelle (Hymn to Finland) exhibition will be on display at the Petit Palais art museum in Paris from November 2025 to February 2026. Pekka Halonen's art will be presented to the French public for the first time in a large retrospective exhibition.
Skidiviikko, a week dedicated to children's culture, will be celebrated in Tuusula from 3 to 9 November 2025.
The free performances include theatre, dance, music, magic and even opera for children. The 23 performances during the week will reach a total of 1,700 children. Most of the week's performances are sold out, but there are still some seats available for a few performances.
25,000 kilograms caught in management fishing on Lake Tuusulanjärvi
Tuusulanjärvi was restored again this year through management fishing. During October, an average of nearly 700 kilograms of fish was caught in a single haul. The catch was distributed to those interested on the shore, and demand was high.
Tuusula Municipality supports the activities of community centres – applications for premises and property tax subsidies can be submitted during November
The municipality of Tuusula supports the activities of local non-profit associations by providing two types of grants: a grant for the rental of association premises and a grant for the payment of property tax on association premises. The grants can be applied for electronically via the municipality's digital services between 1 and 30 November 2025.
Tree planting work on 4–5 November on Pataljoonantie and Rykmentintie
New red oaks will be planted on Pataljoonantie and Rykmentintie in early November. Please note the signs requesting drivers to move their cars during the work.
Weekly newsletter from the Särmä business and service centre construction site (weeks 45–46)
Jatke Toimitilat Oy has published a weekly bulletin for the Särmä business and service centre construction site for the two-week period beginning on 3 November. In addition to the work already started, the site will continue with roof insulation work, among other things. Access routes to the library may need to be changed as the work progresses.
