Uusimaa Award to the municipalities of Nurmijärvi and Tuusula for the "I am alive!" anniversary year

The municipalities of Tuusula and Nurmijärvi were awarded the Uusimaa Prize by the Uusimaa Regional Council for their joint organisation of the Aleksis Kivi anniversary year, which was celebrated in 2022 with the theme of mental well-being and mental health. The motto of the anniversary year was Aleksis Kivi's last words: "I live." New Year's Eve 2022 marked 150 years since the death of Aleksis Kivi.

Repair needs at Monion Riihi Hall to be addressed

The upper secondary school and cultural centre, which opened in August, has space for various events. Since operations began, repairs have been needed in the Riihi Hall, and alterations were already underway before the opening week.

The Kaikukortti card can be used to purchase admission tickets to participating venues. These cultural venues are participating as a gesture of goodwill and do not receive compensation for Kaikukortti visits. In Tuusula, it is also possible to engage in artistic activities with the Kaikukortti card at the Tuusula Opisto and Jokela Adult Education Centre.

The Lotta Museum is part of Tuusula's cultural education plans

The Lotta Museum will become a regular destination for children in early childhood education and primary school in Tuusula when the Lotta Museum joins Tuusula's cultural education plans, i.e. Taika Kultsu for early childhood education and Kultsu for primary education, as a content producer. Cooperation is also possible in connection with the planned secondary cultural education plan.
