Children and young people's experiences of being heard during Children's Rights Week
Children's Rights Week will be celebrated this autumn from 17 to 23 November. The theme of the week, 'Children have the right to be heard', reminds us of the right of children and young people to belong to a community and to be seen and heard. The theme will be highlighted throughout the week in daycare centres, schools and leisure activities. Let's give children and young people a voice!
Skidiviikko, a week dedicated to children's culture, will be celebrated in Tuusula from 3 to 9 November 2025.
The free performances include theatre, dance, music, magic and even opera for children. The 23 performances during the week will reach a total of 1,700 children. Most of the week's performances are sold out, but there are still some seats available for a few performances.

Our forests – Information, plans and dialogue about the forests of Tuusula municipality – residents' meeting on 5 November 2025
A public meeting on the management of Tuusula's forests will be held at Rykmentin Talo on 5 November 2025 from 5.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. The meeting will provide information on the preparation of a new park forest plan and discuss the management of Tuusula's forests.

Senior Citizens Week will be celebrated from 6 to 12 October with the theme Happiness grows in community – Lycka växer i gemenskap.
Senior Citizens' Day, launched by the Central Union for the Welfare of the Aged, has been celebrated on the first Sunday in October since 1954. Senior Citizens' Day marks the start of Senior Citizens' Week, whose theme this year is Happiness grows in communities – Lycka växer i gemenskap. During the week, a wide range of events will be held in Tuusula, and in the middle of the week, there will be a celebration in Väinölä.
Changes to vehicle traffic at Tuusula Sports Centre on 27 September 2025 during the Uusimaa National Defence Day parade
On Saturday, 27 September 2025, Uusimaa Defence Day will be celebrated at the Tuusula Sports Centre. The parade included in the event programme will close Kilpailukuja, Kilpailutie and Kuntoilijantie to traffic from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The eagerly awaited Harvest Market will take over the Krapin courtyard on 20 September.
Welcome to the autumn market event for the whole family in Tuusula, in the courtyard of Krapin Paja, on Saturday 20 September from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This traditional harvest event offers a market atmosphere, local seasonal produce, handicrafts and a special programme for the little ones.
