The Central Uusimaa employment area has resumed granting start-up grants
The Employment and Economic Development Office suspended the granting of discretionary financial assistance in April 2025 when the funds allocated for 2025 ran out. Now, all customers of the Central Uusimaa Employment and Economic Development Office can once again apply for start-up funding.

The municipality of Tuusula and the city of Järvenpää are jointly envisioning the development of the Tuusulanjärvi, Rusutjärvi and Tuusulanjokilaakso areas. The goal is to draw up a joint vision for the development of Tuusulanjärvi and the river valley during 2025, as well as a concrete action plan for its implementation.

Tuusula will celebrate Central Uusimaa Pride with pre-events from 18 to 23 August 2025. The events invite people of all ages to participate and express themselves.
Main line development work will bring track changes to Jokela station
The Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency has announced that excavation work will be carried out as part of the railway development project between Helsinki and Riihimäki, which will result in the platform and track adjacent to Jokela station being out of use on weekdays during daytime hours from 25 August onwards.

An event day for the whole family Children's Museum Festival offers fun and varied activities at the Tuusulanjärvi museums on 23 August.
This traditional event day is full of joy and new discoveries at the museums around Lake Tuusula. This year, Ahola, Ainola, Halosenniemi, the Lotta Museum, Erkkola and Aleksis Kivi's death cottage will all be participating. Tuusula's own library bus, Kirre, will arrive at the Halosenniemi car park as usual. On the event day, all museums will offer free admission to children and the adults accompanying them.
New operators for Tuusula bus routes 964, 965, 966, 967 and 968 on 12 August.
Helsinki Region Transport (HSL) reports that, due to the bankruptcy of the previous operator, new companies will take over transport services on routes 964 and 964K, 965, 965K and 965T, 966, 967 and 967K, and 968 from Tuesday 12 August.
Meals for senior citizens will resume on 11 August.
The autumn term, which has begun in Tuusula schools, will also see the launch of meals for senior citizens at four schools starting on Monday, 11 August 2025.
