Fjällbon Park has won the Green Flag Award for 2025–2026!

Finland has been recognised for its well-maintained and managed Green Flag Award green areas. At the Lepaa exhibition on 14 August 2025, 24 green areas that had won the Green Flag Award were announced – some of them were already familiar winners and three were completely new locations. Fjällbo Park in Tuusula is one of the new winners.

The Houses of Stories event invites you to Kellokoski on 23 August 

Events

The Houses of Stories event will be held for the third time in August 2025. This time, the venue will be the charming Kellokoski, known for its ironworks, mental hospital and its delightful residents and scenery. The venues will be open to the public on Saturday, 23 August 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come and get to know these charming houses and their residents!

Main line development work will bring track changes to Jokela station 

Transport

The Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency has announced that excavation work will be carried out as part of the railway development project between Helsinki and Riihimäki, which will result in the platform and track adjacent to Jokela station being out of use on weekdays during daytime hours from 25 August onwards.
