The Tuusula Council will meet on Monday, 18 August 2025, at 6 p.m. in the Rykmentti dining hall (Rykmentintie 48, Tuusula). The meeting can also be followed online.

Jatke Toimitilat Oy has published a weekly update on the Särmä business and service centre construction site for week 34, starting on 18 August. Among other things, earthworks and local casting work will continue on the surface parking area at the construction site.

Finland has been recognised for its well-maintained and managed Green Flag Award green areas. At the Lepaa exhibition on 14 August 2025, 24 green areas that had won the Green Flag Award were announced – some of them were already familiar winners and three were completely new locations. The Houses of Stories event will be held for the third time in August 2025. This time, the venue will be the charming Kellokoski, known for its ironworks, mental hospital and its delightful residents and scenery. The Employment and Economic Development Office suspended the granting of discretionary financial assistance in April 2025 when the funds allocated for 2025 ran out. Now, all customers of the Central Uusimaa Employment and Economic Development Office can once again apply for start-up funding.

The municipality of Tuusula and the city of Järvenpää are jointly envisioning the development of the Tuusulanjärvi, Rusutjärvi and Tuusulanjokilaakso areas. The goal is to draw up a joint vision for the development of Tuusulanjärvi and the river valley during 2025, as well as a concrete action plan for its implementation.

Tuusula will celebrate Central Uusimaa Pride with pre-events from 18 to 23 August 2025. The events invite people of all ages to participate and express themselves.

The Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency has announced that excavation work will be carried out as part of the railway development project between Helsinki and Riihimäki, which will result in the platform and track adjacent to Jokela station being out of use on weekdays during daytime hours from 25 August onwards.
