Voting in the Children and Young People’s Forum takes place from 6 to 20 May
Voting in Tuusula’s participatory budgeting scheme for children and young people will soon begin, with the voting period starting on 6 May 2026. Voting will take place over a two-week period on Tuusula’s participation platform. After the voting period, it will be revealed which of the proposals devised by children and young people to improve well-being and quality of life will be implemented. The results will be announced on 22 May 2026 during a live broadcast.

Resident survey on the impact of the planned data centre in Jokela
Jokelan Vihreä Maa Oy is planning a data centre project in Jokela, Tuusula, along Vallunlenkki. An environmental impact assessment (EIA) procedure is currently underway for the project, as part of which a resident survey is being conducted.
In a child-friendly municipality, children’s voices are heard even before construction begins – the traffic park is being designed based on children’s wishes
Tuusula’s new traffic park is being built based on the children’s own wishes. In workshops held in March, children had the chance to design the future park’s features using Lego, drawing and brainstorming. The results provide designers with valuable insight into what kind of environment best serves children.

The municipality of Tuusula held its first digital council for children and young people from 12 to 15 March 2026 as part of the next phase of the municipality’s participatory budgeting process.
Aunela was bustling with activity at the opening – suggest a name for the new meeting place
The Aunela community centre in Hyrylä was filled with cheerful chatter on Tuesday 24 March, as the opening ceremony was held for the municipality’s new meeting place, which is open to everyone. There was no shortage of visitors, and plenty of enthusiastic ideas for activities emerged straight away.
Resident survey on the impact of the planned data centre in Järvenpää
Data Prop Link Oy is planning to build a data centre in Järvenpää, within the Wärtsilä industrial area. As part of the project’s EIA procedure, an online resident survey open to all is being conducted.

We are organising a workshop on Wednesday 22 April 2026 from 5.30 pm to 7.00 pm, where anyone interested will have the opportunity to contribute to the design of the Tuusula municipal meeting facilities to be located in the new Tuusula social and health services centre.
