Renovation of lighting in Valkamanpuisto Park – work commenced in October
The aim of renovating the lighting in Valkamanpuisto Park is to upgrade the existing tree lighting, taking into account safety and glare, and to increase the visibility and appeal of the park during the dark hours with new lighting features or light installations in the future.
Cultural heritage evenings: archaeology and building heritage management
The third Cultural Heritage Evening in Tuusula on Monday, 3 November, will focus on the protection of Tuusula's ancient monuments and the preservation of its architectural heritage. During the evening, archaeologist Tiina Mikkanen will talk about the protection and preservation of Tuusula's archaeological sites. Renovation expert Joni Rousku will give tips on what grants can be applied for from the National Board of Antiquities and the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (ELY) for the maintenance of architectural heritage.
Use of new room reservation system expands
The transition to a new facility booking system in the municipality of Tuusula is progressing. From the beginning of November, community facilities, sports facilities and the Metsäpirtti camp centre can be booked through the new Enkora system.
