Mid-year review of Tuusula’s ‘Child-Friendly Municipality’ initiative: Enjoying hobbies and having a say
Over the spring, Tuusula has taken many significant steps towards becoming an even more child-friendly municipality. The voices of children and young people have been heard more clearly, particularly in discussions about leisure and recreational opportunities and in participatory budgeting.

Sacred nature comes to Halosenniemi
The ‘Sacred Nature’ exhibition at Halosenniemi opens on Tuesday 2 June. The exhibition explores artists’ perceptions of nature, ranging from Pekka Halonen’s landscape paintings to interpretations by contemporary artists. The common thread running through the exhibition is Halonen’s pantheistic relationship with nature. The theme of nature also manifests itself in many ways in contemporary art.
Planning activities during the summer holiday season
During the summer holiday period (29 June–31 July 2026), the Planning Department’s services will be limited.
Opening hours for municipal services in summer 2026
Almost all of Tuusula Municipality’s services remain available to residents during the summer holiday season. However, opening hours and on-call arrangements may differ from the usual schedule.

Tua Holappa is Tuusula’s fifth summer artist
Set designer Tua Holappa has been selected as Tuusula’s Summer Artist for 2026. She will be working alongside local residents, exploring places of significance through memories and emotions.
First news from the hobby group
The new members of the Tuusula Leisure Group, who launched their activities earlier this year, have thrown themselves enthusiastically into their work. Their first task this spring has been to compile a list of schools’ requests for leisure activities and clubs, and in the autumn they will be promoting the new leisure season.
Tuusula is selling a property on Kirkkotie by auction
The property known as Aattola is being sold via an open tender process, which opened today. A viewing will be held at the property on Monday 8 June from 4.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
