Municipal Council seminar: Topics include promoting well-being and implementing the strategy
The Tuusula Municipal Council met on Friday 22 May for a seminar at the Monio Upper Secondary School and Cultural Centre in Tuusula. During the day, councillors focused on the current state of wellbeing and health promotion in Tuusula, as well as the implementation of the strategy.

The voting period for Tuusula’s participatory budgeting for children and young people has now closed, and the proposals that received the most votes will be implemented over the next eighteen months. Thank you to everyone who voted!
The swimming season in Tuusula begins on 2 June.
There are a total of five official bathing areas in Tuusula, all of which are maintained by the local council. These are Häklin beach, Rusutjärvi beach, Tuusula Sports Centre beach, Jokela beach and Kellokoski beach.
The first evaluation report of the new council term has been published
The evaluation report for 2025, prepared by the Audit Committee of Tuusula Municipality, has been finalised. This is the Audit Committee’s first evaluation report for the 2025–2029 council term, and it will be presented to the council at its meeting in June.
Building control activities are limited during the summer holiday season
Building control services are limited during the summer holiday period and will be provided as follows.
Ground investigations are being carried out along the route of the East Railway
Fieldwork relating to the general planning phase of the Eastern Railway will commence along the entire length of the line. The route runs for a short distance through the southernmost parts of the municipality of Tuusula.

The interview panel proposes Riikka Åberg as Director of the Central Uusimaa Environment Centre. The Tuusula Municipal Executive Board will decide on the appointment on Monday 25 May 2026.
Noisy track work at night in Jokela
A retaining wall is being built in Jokela as part of the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency’s Helsinki–Riihimäki railway project. In connection with the construction of the retaining wall, piling work will be carried out in the area at night from 24 May. This phase of the work may cause noise disturbance for local residents.
