The first residents’ magazine of 2026 for the municipality of Tuusula has been published and will be distributed to households in Tuusula as a public notice on 31 March 2026. The magazine includes a supplement entitled ‘Tuusula Plans and Builds’.

Volunteers as part of everyday community life in early years education
Early years education in Tuusula is supported by a fantastic group of volunteers. Volunteers bring warmth, joy and meaningful interactions to everyday life in early years education. In nurseries, shared activities between children of different ages – from woolly-sock walks to forest granny outings and story times with reading grannies – build bridges between generations and strengthen children’s wellbeing, sense of belonging and connection with nature.
The Vihersini Network Master Plan (VISSI) is on public display in Tuusula
Tuusula Municipality promotes the preservation of local biodiversity through land-use planning and environmental management. This work includes the Green-Blue Network Master Plan (VISSI), which is currently being prepared; the draft plan will be on public display from 26 March to 15 May 2026. Comments on the plan may be submitted during the public display period, and the aim is to bring the plan forward for approval in autumn 2026.

Aunela was bustling with activity at the opening – suggest a name for the new meeting place
The Aunela community centre in Hyrylä was filled with cheerful chatter on Tuesday 24 March, as the opening ceremony was held for the municipality’s new meeting place, which is open to everyone. There was no shortage of visitors, and plenty of enthusiastic ideas for activities emerged straight away.
Work on repairing the gravel roads has begun
With the arrival of spring, maintenance work on gravel roads has begun again in Tuusula. Spring maintenance is necessary to ensure that gravel roads remain passable.
Resident survey on the impact of the planned data centre in Järvenpää
Data Prop Link Oy is planning to build a data centre in Järvenpää, within the Wärtsilä industrial area. As part of the project’s EIA procedure, an online resident survey open to all is being conducted.
