Together, looking out for each other – four municipalities join forces to promote safety in schools
Tuusula, Kerava, Hyvinkää and Järvenpää have launched a joint initiative called Reilusti yhdessä, turvaa toisista (Fair together, safety from others), which aims to prevent bullying, harassment, discrimination and violence in schools.
Winter swimming starts this weekend
In Tuusula, you can enjoy a dip in cold water this coming weekend, 25–26 October 2025. Winter swimming spots maintained by the municipality and various partners can be found in Kellokoski, Jokela, Hyrylä and Rusutjärvi. The swimming spots have warm changing rooms for winter swimmers, but no showers.

Independence Day rings out with jazz music in Tuusula
Tuusula will celebrate Finland's independence with swinging music on Saturday, 6 December, when renowned jazz pianist Joonas Haavisto arrives to perform his solo concert at Kulttuuritalo Monio. The concert is free of charge, but advance registration is required. Registration opens on 15 October at 10 a.m.
