Restoration work begins in the Heinisuo nature reserve

Restoration work in accordance with the restoration plan will be carried out in early September in the Heinisuo nature reserve (property number 858-413-13-33), which is owned by the municipality of Tuusula. The aim is to restore the water balance of the mire and rehabilitate its natural environment. The project has been awarded a grant from the Ministry of the Environment's HELMI habitat programme.

Consultative hospital teaching expands – support available to all municipalities in the Central and Eastern Uusimaa region 

Teaching

The reform of legislation on learning support will also bring changes to the consultative activities of hospital education. With the reform, all pupils and teaching staff in all municipalities will have the opportunity to receive expert support for hospital education from 1 August 2025, regardless of the pupil's place of residence. The aim is to increase equality in the service.

The popular Politician's Museum Internship campaign brought Pia Lohikoski, a Member of Parliament from Central Finland, to learn about the everyday work of the Tuusula Museum. This year marked the tenth anniversary of the Politician's Museum Internship. Hundreds of politicians from different levels of social decision-making have participated in the internships. This year, more than 60 decision-makers are participating in the campaign, with over 30 museums around the country taking part.

The Construction Industry Day, linked to the Tarinoiden Talot (Houses of Stories) event, brought together professionals in the field on Friday, 22 August 2025, to Kellokoski to hear about current issues in the municipality of Tuusula and get a preview of a few things.The event was organised by the Tuusula Construction Association, and the programme included a tour of the event venue, which will be open to the public on Saturday, 23 August 2025.
