Last week, Central Uusimaa Pride invited people in the region to celebrate equality and diversity.
Restoration work begins in the Heinisuo nature reserve
Restoration work in accordance with the restoration plan will be carried out in early September in the Heinisuo nature reserve (property number 858-413-13-33), which is owned by the municipality of Tuusula. The aim is to restore the water balance of the mire and rehabilitate its natural environment. The project has been awarded a grant from the Ministry of the Environment's HELMI habitat programme.

The Guard Jaeger Regiment will lead the Lively Stronghold 25 local defence exercise in the capital region from 31 August to 5 September 2025. Exercises are also planned in the Hyrylä area of Tuusula from 31 August to 1 September 2025 and on 3 September 2025.

Consultative hospital teaching expands – support available to all municipalities in the Central and Eastern Uusimaa region
The reform of legislation on learning support will also bring changes to the consultative activities of hospital education. With the reform, all pupils and teaching staff in all municipalities will have the opportunity to receive expert support for hospital education from 1 August 2025, regardless of the pupil's place of residence. The aim is to increase equality in the service.
Member of Parliament Pia Lohikoski on a museum internship in Tuusula
The popular Politician's Museum Internship campaign brought Pia Lohikoski, a Member of Parliament from Central Finland, to learn about the everyday work of the Tuusula Museum. This year marked the tenth anniversary of the Politician's Museum Internship. Hundreds of politicians from different levels of social decision-making have participated in the internships. This year, more than 60 decision-makers are participating in the campaign, with over 30 museums around the country taking part.
Keusote announces: Keusote's strategy is being revised – share your opinion by 7 September
The Central Uusimaa welfare area Keusote is updating its strategy and wants to hear residents' views and experiences to support its work. The resident survey will gather valuable information about what is considered important in the welfare area's activities and development. The responses will be used in the preparation of a new strategy for 2026–2030.
