Exercise and health habits survey: Tuusula residents feel good about their health
Nearly three-quarters of Tuusula residents who responded to a survey on exercise and health habits among the adult population report feeling well. Almost half of respondents say they exercise in accordance with all adult exercise recommendations.
Tuusula is drawing up a new safety plan
The municipality of Tuusula is currently drawing up a new safety plan for 2025–2029. The aim of the safety plan is to improve the safety of residents by reducing the number of accidents, injuries, crimes and disturbances. The measures outlined in the plan are also intended to maintain the sense of security among residents and visitors.
Redemption Committee reaches decision on Focus area properties and compensation for landowners
The Redemption Committee has completed the redemption process concerning the Kaura and Kaukokiito properties. The expropriation covers approximately 15 and 24 hectares of land located in the southern part of Tuusula, which is part of the Focus area north of Helsinki-Vantaa Airport and along the future Kehä IV ring road.
Microbiological quality of bathing waters in Central Uusimaa good
On 5 June 2025, the Central Uusimaa Environmental Centre collected samples for monitoring bathing water quality from the largest public beaches in Järvenpää, Mäntsälä, Tuusula and Nurmijärvi, i.e. the so-called EU beaches. The samples were tested for Escherichia coli bacteria and intestinal enterococci. The microbiological quality of the bathing water met the quality requirements set for bathing water. No blue-green algae was observed on the beaches. Bacterial concentrations were very low.
The result of the Tuusula municipal elections remains valid
The Helsinki Administrative Court has rejected the appeal concerning the Tuusula municipal elections in its decision of 10 June 2025. The results of the municipal elections remain in force.

Everything is ephemeral at Erkkola's summer exhibition
Haihtuvaista (Transient) is a joint exhibition by three artists, Emmi Kallio, Katja Tukiainen and Kirsti Tuoko, which examines the transience of life and the impermanence of everything. The theme of the exhibition, which opens in Erkkola on 10 June, deals with the diversity of transience: whether it be the tragic approach of the end, melancholy or a deep understanding and respect for the fleeting nature of life. The exhibition highlights the cyclical dialogue between joy, sorrow and the thirst for life.
Correction: Koskenmäki carpet washing facility temporarily closed from Saturday, 7 June
A leak has been detected in the water supply pipe at the Koskenmäki carpet washing facility in Hyrylä. The washing facility will be out of service while repairs are carried out. Contrary to previous information, the washing facility has been closed since 7 June.
