The placement agreement guidelines are instructions for the placement of cables, equipment and structures on streets and in public areas. The guidelines are updated as necessary. This time, we made significant changes to the guidelines.

The number of children attending the Peltokaaren daycare centre in Jokela has risen sharply, and all sections of the building are now in use. Tuusula's newest municipal daycare centre now has around 90 children. The building is also used by a group of open family activity clients.

The spring term at schools in Tuusula ends on Saturday, 31 May. More than 5,000 primary school pupils and 740 upper secondary school students in Tuusula will then enjoy their well-deserved summer holidays. Everyday life will resume when the autumn term begins on 7 August. 

Tuusula's journey towards becoming a more child-friendly municipality is progressing with the support of UNICEF's Child-Friendly Municipality model. The municipality of Tuusula is once again organising the Business as Tuusula event for entrepreneurs and business representatives. This time, the theme is the commercial development of Hyrylä town centre and, in particular, the vitality of speciality shops and services alongside hypermarkets.

The municipal council convened on Monday, 26 May 2025.

The popular triathlon event will be held in Kellokoski on Sunday, 1 June, when Järvenpään Pyöräilijät (Järvenpää Cyclists) brings the Ruukki Triathlon to the beautiful countryside for the second time. Last year, the competition was the only sold-out triathlon event in Finland, and it received a lot of praise from participants and the Triathlon Federation. This year, more than 200 competitors from all over the country will take part, and the event also carries an environmentally responsible competition certificate.

Tuusula's seventh participatory budgeting round will begin at the end of September. This time, decision-making power over the use of municipal funds will be given to children and young people under the age of 18.

In summer 2025, Tuusula will be offering free meals in parks to children and young people under the age of 18 in all municipal centres. Meals will start on Monday, 2 June. There will also be a fun programme of activities.
