A stormwater charge will be introduced in the zoned area from autumn 2026
From autumn 2026, Tuusula Municipality will levy a stormwater charge on properties located within the area covered by the local plan.
Combating invasive species with a mobile game
Tuusula Municipality is inviting residents to help search for and control Indian Balsam and Lupin. The work involves photographing the plants before and after control measures have been taken, and participants will receive a reward for their efforts. The project, which launches in early June, utilises crowdsourcing and the Finnish Crowdsorsa mobile gaming platform.

The Finnish Defence Forces will be conducting exercises in Tuusula from 13 to 15 May

Registration for the summer swimming lessons opens on Thursday 21 May at 5.00 pm
In the summer of 2026, we will be offering swimming lessons for children at the refurbished Tuusula Swimming Pool, spread over three sessions. A new addition this year is a swimming course for teenagers. We will also be organising a beginners’ swimming course for adults in August.

Tuusula’s LUMO programme supports the municipality’s work to promote biodiversity
Tuusula Municipal Council approved the Tuusula Biodiversity Programme (LUMO Programme) at its meeting on 30 March. The programme came into force on 1 April, and its implementation has begun immediately as part of the roll-out of Tuusula’s Municipal Strategy 2026–2029.
Flexibility and accessibility at the heart of the design – community spaces for the future social and health centre in Hyrylä
The premises of Tuusula Municipality to be incorporated into the Hyrylä social and health services centre have been designed in close collaboration with the future users throughout the project. The latest design workshop was held on 22 April.
The water taps at the carpet-washing areas and allotments will be open from 12–13 May
The water points at the carpet-washing areas and allotments maintained by Tuusula Municipality are generally kept in operation until September, depending on the outdoor temperature.
