Sara, a pioneering band in alternative rock and metal, arrives in Tuusula
Sara's gig at the Monio Cultural Centre on 14 February is part of an extensive album release tour. The Hallava album, released in January, is Sara's 10th studio album. The album release tour offers the first opportunity to experience the songs from the album live. Fans have been waiting for new music for a while, as the previous album was released in 2011.

Artist search opens at Rykmentinpuisto Park in Tuusula
An open portfolio search for artists is being launched for the Rykmentinpuisto area in Tuusula. The artwork will be located at Puustellintori, at the intersection of Rykmentinpuistotie and Puistometsäntie. In the first stage, artists can participate in the search by submitting their portfolios. In the next phase, three artists will be selected and asked to submit draft proposals for the future artwork. The artist with the winning draft will be commissioned to complete the work. The artwork is expected to be completed in spring-summer 2026.
Anniversary year takes Pekka Halonen to Paris
This year marks the 160th anniversary of the birth of painter Pekka Halonen. At the beginning of November, the Petit Palais art museum in Paris will open a large exhibition of Pekka Halonen's art, which has been planned in collaboration with the Ateneum Art Museum. In Tuusula, Pekka Halonen's anniversary year will also be reflected in the exhibitions at Halosenniemi.

Enjoy children's culture during Skidiviikko in March
Skidiviikko offers a diverse range of children's culture events throughout Tuusula from 3 to 9 March. The Skidiviikko programme is free of charge, but advance registration is required.
The "Everyone Burns Everyone" event invites children and young people and their families to a joint game night in Riihikallio.
On 7 March 2025, from 6 p.m. to 9.30 p.m., Riihikallio School in South Tuusula will host a joint game night called 'Everyone Burns Everyone'. Primary school children and young people from all over Tuusula are invited to attend – come alone or with friends or family. Registration is now open.
The Christmas-themed Kuittikisa campaign encouraged people to buy local products and services.
In December 2024, the municipality of Tuusula organised its third Christmas receipt competition in collaboration with local business associations. The competition encouraged people to buy products and services in Tuusula. The winners of the competition have now been drawn.
